The stores in my area do not carry the Avanti Everglide line. I considered more expensive pans but I don't want to have to hand wash my bakeware because there always seems to be a white stain from the shortening which cannot be removed by hand washing. I'm so glad I was able to find this pan on Amazon as Cook's Illustrated recommends this and I always take their recommendations into consideration before making a purchase. This is a heavy-duty pan. My muffins came out perfectly baked and evenly browned. After cooling for a few minutes, the muffins easily released from the pan. The pan cleaned beautifully in the dish washer. This pan is well made and should hold up to years and years of baking<br/><br /><br/><br />Update 8/17/2012: I now own this pan for 2 years and 8 months. It is still in perfect condition. It looks as good now as the day I received it from Amazon. It is always washed in the dishwasher. It is showing no signs of wear and bakes consistently perfect cupcakes. Cupcakes always tumble out when the pan is inverted. I'm still very pleased with this pan and would highly recommend it.<br/><br /><br/><br />Update: 9/21/13: After almost 4 years the stores in my area still don't carry Avanti Everglide. I am so glad I found it here, on Amazon. I still love this pan. It still bakes evenly and cleans without any effort at all. My pan looks like it did the day I got it. It has no wear, no scratches, no dents. The side handles make carrying the pan in and out of the oven so easy. Still loving this pan! I am now baking more than muffins and cupcakes. I enjoy using this pan so much I've started baking savory meals in this pan. Two books I have found are Muffin Tin Chef: 101 Savory Snacks, Adorable Appetizers, Enticing Entrees and Delicious Desserts and The Muffin Tin Cookbook: 200 Fast, Delicious Mini-Pies, Pasta Cups, Gourmet Pockets, Veggie Cakes, and More!. This pan was a great buy. I'm so glad I found it on Amazon.<br/><br /><br/><br />11/13/2013: Based on a question I received, I wanted to add there are seams where the cups attach. However, in my experience, this does not affect the baking or end result of the baking at all nor does it affect the cleaning at all. This is a great pan. They are NOT.<br/><br /><br/><br />Though all the cutters are made of flimsier plastic with an even more shallow cutting depth than the animal set: about 1/4 inch or 6 mm. The football is the best example of how disappointing these are. It looks like Dali or Picasso designed it. The egg, too, is a little pointy on BOTH sides and practically has corners. The letters are only as tall as a standard chapstick tube and would be disappointing for the rice krispies I had planned, but since they are too shallow to cut krispies with anyway, it's a moot point.<br/><br /><br/><br />I wonder if perhaps I got a defective set locally, or if the excellent quality of Wilton's 50-pc animal set has biased me, but these are likely going back to the store. I'll keep hunting for good letters and numbers!<br/><br /><br/><br />On an up note, I DO appreciate the variety of the set and the loose color-coding scheme Wilton adopted. (Green for Christmas, Yellow for Easter/Spring, Magenta for Alphabet, Blue for Numbers, circles, and Patriotic, Orange for Halloween and flying things (including a flamingo?), Red for Sports and non-flying Animals . . . ) If you are making very shallow cookies and don't need every cookie cutter of your 101 to be in good shape, this set might still be for you.<br/><br /><br/><br />I recommend checking the user-uploaded images, where I've photographed all 101 of mine. When Keurig came out with the B-40 Elite, a handsome, reasonably priced unit, and announced that it would be releasing its "My K-Cup" reusable filter for separate sale early in 2006, I was primed. As soon as I saw this product on Keurig's website, I was ready to buy my new coffeemaker from Amazon.com and the filter from Keurig's web site. My only wish was that Amazon.com would stock the reusable filter so buyers could purchase the coffeemaker and filter in one fell swoop, and here my wish is about to come to pass!<br/><br /><br/><br />I have had my Keurig B-40 Elite for about a month now, and I've had great success with it. Bear in mind that if you're using the reusable filter, you must first remove the black plastic K-Cup holder from the unit's filter assembly (instructions on how to do this are included with "My K-Cup"; the black piece in the coffeemaker's filter basket doesn't act like it's supposed to come out, but it is, and it does).<br/><br /><br/><br />Also, I've read elsewhere that some people don't like having to remove the reusable filter and clean it out after every use. However, I've found it to be a relatively simple affair: the reusable filter doesn't drip when you remove it, and takes about 30 seconds to rinse out after each use. You can use it again right away to brew successive cups.<br/><br /><br/><br />One caveat is that the output splashes a bit when using the My K-Cup filter, so I always have a damp paper towel at the ready when I brew a cup. That having been said, I'm really happy to be using my own coffee and saving lots of money in the process. Hopefully enough to convince you, dear reader, to buy them. This particular set is nicely vertical, which is very helpful for mixing with a single beater (more shallow bowls allow tossed material to coat your kitchen. This is widely considered an undesirable thing.), and is made of a high quality stainless which will survive your freezer, your dishwasher and even your range when used as the top part of a double boiler. The tops are plastic; they fit well now and are a nice addition to the set; I can't vouch for how long they'll last of course. The stainless is of the sort that picks up smudges pretty easily so I don't think in most times these will double as serving containers at any but the most informal of events, but other than that they are quite easy to clean. That ease is enhanced by the design, which is free of doodads that one one will ever use but behind which batter likes to hide. You did the same search I did, you know what I'm talking about. So is this set worth the ten bucks' premium over that other set of silver-colored stainless mixing bowls with lids? I can't say for certain because I don't own that other set. But I will tell you that I spent the ten bucks and I'm very happy with the result. What about that other other set, the one with the pre-recession price? I can't say about them, either. Maybe they repulse fingerprints and you can bring them right out of the fridge to the serving table at your daughter's cotillion. (very easy to do, it's just a small plastic tab)<br/><br /><br/><br />The second issue I'm having is that I've tried using 2 different brands of butane and both won't make a good seal on the filling nozzle. So I don't know if there is a specific butane this one likes, or what? If anyone has any tips for me in that regard, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.<br/><br /><br/><br />Note I would like to add since I have been using it more: The flame level adjustment is fairly useless on mine, it has a long range from - to + but it really doesn't change it at all until you are almost all the way to - and it lowers the flame but its easy to accidentally lower it too much and put it out. So basically the flame is at the same exact level for about 90% of the range, and you have to carefully work within the 10% of the range if you want to lower the flame without putting it out. This is not a big deal to me, but I just wanted to let people know if they needed to utilize this feature.<br/><br /><br/><br />UPDATE: I have tried Calibri, Ronson, Coleman and Zippo brand butane. All of them partially work and you can get it mostly filled, but they don't make a good seal and a decent amount of butane escapes every time I fill it. It appears that the metal intake on the torch is larger than the filling nozzle on most butane refill bottles. So it can't really make a good seal and as a result, some butane is lost in the filling process. I'm still hoping someone will eventually find one that works well and let me know.
