I have been shopping for a muffin pan for a while. The stores in my area do not carry the Avanti Everglide line. I considered more expensive pans but I don't want to have to hand wash my bakeware because there always seems to be a white stain from the shortening which cannot be removed by hand washing. I'm so glad I was able to find this pan on Amazon as Cook's Illustrated recommends this and I always take their recommendations into consideration before making a purchase. This is a heavy-duty pan. My muffins came out perfectly baked and evenly browned. After cooling for a few minutes, the muffins easily released from the pan. The pan cleaned beautifully in the dish washer. This pan is well made and should hold up to years and years of baking
Update 8/17/2012: I now own this pan for 2 years and 8 months. It is still in perfect condition. It looks as good now as the day I received it from Amazon. It is always washed in the dishwasher. It is showing no signs of wear and bakes consistently perfect cupcakes. Cupcakes always tumble out when the pan is inverted. I'm still very pleased with this pan and would highly recommend it.
Update: 9/21/13: After almost 4 years the stores in my area still don't carry Avanti Everglide. I am so glad I found it here, on Amazon. I still love this pan. It still bakes evenly and cleans without any effort at all. My pan looks like it did the day I got it. It has no wear, no scratches, no dents. The side handles make carrying the pan in and out of the oven so easy. Still loving this pan! I am now baking more than muffins and cupcakes. I enjoy using this pan so much I've started baking savory meals in this pan. Two books I have found are Muffin Tin Chef: 101 Savory Snacks, Adorable Appetizers, Enticing Entrees and Delicious Desserts and The Muffin Tin Cookbook: 200 Fast, Delicious Mini-Pies, Pasta Cups, Gourmet Pockets, Veggie Cakes, and More!. This pan was a great buy. I'm so glad I found it on Amazon.
11/13/2013: Based on a question I received, I wanted to add there are seams where the cups attach. However, in my experience, this does not affect the baking or end result of the baking at all nor does it affect the cleaning at all. This is a great pan.
